Value Added Glass Products (PVA) opens its doors in Cancun
Value Added Glass Products (PVA) of the Southeast opened its doors in Cancun, Quintana Roo becoming the second glass processing plant and contains one of the largest laminating production lines in Mexico, a furnace for tempering and glass processing in order to serve the market in the Southeast. The new facility is in addition to the plant located in the state of México and is located in Cancun’s new industrial park next to the airport thus lowering logistical costs and improving service in its planned area of influence. “Through PVA of the Southeast we service the construction zones in the Southeast, and potentially the Caribbean and Central America, as with these installed processes we can support investors, developments and architectural projects so their structures are better protected, as we can offer products that are hurricane resistant as well as other practical application options”, comments Jaime Ruiz, partner in PVA and Director of GSN. He adds that they will also serve industrial clients such as window installers, furnishing dealers and refrigeration specialists. Jaime Guzmán, Float Glass Vice President, points out that through Vitro’s Architect Design Center (CDA) “we can offer technical advice to investors, architects and designers about the uses and applications of glass, wind stress analysis and studies on hurricane resistance, 3D design, animation rendering, scale models and complete consulting in project development, among other aspects”. This facility reflects Vitro’s commitment to continue the support for its growth into glass conversion market segments and serve as a means to elevate the construction standards in México to international levels. Some of the more notable projects where Vitro has participated with PVA are: Emerald Cancun, TV CUN, MAIORIS, Novo Cancun and Palmeras in Cancun, in addition to the Casa de Moneda and Constituyentes Tower in Mexico City. |
