Four Vitro glass containers were awarded in the USA

  • The Mexican company was awarded a third of the awards.
  • In spite of the tremendous challenges facing the industry Vitro continues to make world class products.

The Glass Packaging Institute, “GPI” awarded Vitro Packaging, a subsidiary of Vitro in the United States, four of the twelve yearly Clear Choice Awards that was announced through its virtual award ceremony on its Web page.

This year the awards were given in four categories: alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages, food and cosmetics. The variables that are taken into consideration for the awards are esthetics, creativity, shape, functionality and attractiveness for the marketplace.

Vitro’s winning products were:

  • Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey (Alcoholic Beverage Category, Amber Winner)
  • Cold Spring Water (Non-Alcoholic Beverage Category, Crystal Winner)
  • Cheerwine & Diet Cheerwine (Non-Alcoholic Beverage Category, Amber Winner)
  • Vitality by Liiv Botanicals (Cosmetics Category, Crystal Winner)

Commenting on these latest awards Hugo Lara, CEO Vitro, stated: “In these times of great challenges we continue to fulfill our commitment to supply quality products and services in an uninterrupted fashion to our broad and diversified client base. The award winning products will be exhibited at the World Food Expo taking place in Chicago from October 28 – 31 and at the Pack Expo in Las Vegas from October 5 – 7.

Beginning in 1989 the Clear Choice Awards is the only program that acknowledges manufacturers of consumer products that package their products in glass.
