In order to show our commitment to the industry and expand the connections that will propel our business in the future, the company promoted its full product offering through a Vitro exhibit (parent Company), and a Vitro America  exhibit (a subsidiary of Vitro in the USA). Each display was very effective in targeting the different market segments, both of which are very important to our success.

Glass Build America is organized by the National Glass Association, in partnership with the Glass Association of North America, the American Architectural Manufacturers Association, the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance and the Bath Enclosure Manufacturers Association.

It is the largest national glass industry event held each year in the United States. Since 2003, it has been listed as one of the Top 200 largest U.S. tradeshows in the annual listing compiled by Tradeshow Week magazine.

This year more than 7,000 people attended the trade show that featured an agenda packed with industry and outside experts, cutting-edge technologies, and some of the most timely and insightful conferences and seminars in the business.

“The Glass Build America show allows us the opportunity to reach a large number of customers and prospects within a short time frame, and in a highly visible manner,” states Alice Dickerson, Vitro America Director of Sales and Marketing.

“In spite of the economic pressures, we were pleased to participate in this event. We have such a broad product offering, so it’s important to take this opportunity to remind customers of all that we have to offer and to promote new offerings such as Pavia and DecoTherm”, she states.

According to Georgina Gómez de Regil, Float Glass Promotion and Advertising Head, through this event, it was possible to contact personally customers from around the world.

“We like the fact that there was an international audience that showed a lot of interest in our products, especially in our low emission glass products such as Eficient-e®”, she comments.

Glass Build America showed once again to be a very strong event and being the place where the industry collectively prepares to turn the corner to economic renewal.
