Vitro Cristalglass is the subsidiary of Vitro in Europe.

According with the research and innovation policy with regards to its products, Vitro Cristalglass launches two new ranges of its solar control product, the so-called SOLARLUX®.

“These new varieties has a metallic cover provided with low-emission and solar control properties that, given its characteristics, makes it possible to temper the glass after the application of the coating”, José Mariano Izquierdo, Vitro Cristalglass Sales Director, explained.

The SOLARLUX® Natucolor-E range is a variety of solar control glass that has the capacity to incorporate low-emission properties in the coating itself. The coating of this variety of glass provides that glass with thermic and solar control without losing its high light-transmission capacity, with a slight reflection. These properties result in a considerable saving as far as energy costs are concerned, if we compare SOLARLUX® Natucolor-E with other types of glass.

Besides, SOLARLUX® Natucolor-E obtains a very low transmission of the UV rays, one of the most harmful radiations of the sun. It is also possible to carry out different treatments and manufactures upon the glass that has been coated with a layer of Natucolor-E, such as cambering or tempering.

The SOLARLUX® HT range includes last generation glass in which the solar control properties and the low emission properties go together, by using magnetronic, post-temperable coatings.

One of the main characteristics of the HT range is the soft metallic coating applied to the glass. Thanks to its composition it is possible to temper the glass that has been coated with it afterwards.

Depending on the degree of light-reflection, light transmission or energy transmission that we want to obtain with the glass cover, three different types of SOLARLUX® HT coatings may be differentiated:

• SOLARLUX® Premium HT: greater transmission and less light reflection

• SOLARLUX® Advance HT: excellent balance between light transmission and solar factor

• SOLARLUX® Future HT: low light transmission and low solar factor
