The classic glass milk bottle is back!

There are memories from our childhood days that one never forgets. Opening the fridge, looking for a glass milk bottle that permits you to savor the milky white contents, that compete with ice cream, and enjoy the cold, really cold, milk.  

Well now it’s no longer a memory, it’s a reality! Thanks to the very productive relationship between Vitro and Comercializadora de Lácteos and Derivitaves, the classic packaging of Lala milk in glass is back.

Gerardo Gebara, responsible for regional marketing in northern Mexico for Vitro’s Glass Container business unit, points out that there are good reasons to expect a very positive reaction from the consumer for this initiative.

“More and more consumers are interested in purchasing products that are “environmentally friendly” and glass is 100% recyclable; in addition the glass milk bottles due not alter flavors, aromas nor the characteristics of the contents”, he points out.

Other advantages for the use of glass is that it’s well sealed, hygienic and cannot be deformed while giving transparency to see the contents.

Gebara comments that it was a great breakthrough to decorate the glass 750 ml. bottles, manufactured by Vidriera Monterrey.

“There is a great market potential for the glass bottle: with so many brands available to choose from, the unique glass packaging offers an additional benefit”, he adds.

The glass milk bottle can change its decoration based on the season!

He refers to the unique feature that the decoration on the glass bottle can vary depending on the season of the year, may it be Patriotic, Christmas, or any special design decoration.

“It’s a unique packaging concept with great flexibility to give it design continuity throughout the year and not necessarily limit its design to a specific season theme”, he points out

Lala in a glass milk bottle is available in Monterrey and Guadalajara. It can be purchased in Soriana, HEB and Gigante as well as Walmart, Superama, and Farmacias Guadalajara.

The time has arrived to drink milk from a glass bottle....Just like the good old days.
