Recently Finlandia Vodka launched in Mexico a new alcoholic drink under the brand name of Finlandia Frost. It started being distributed in Mexico in April of this year in elegant glass bottles, of an exclusive design, manufactured by Vitro.

Lately prepared alcoholic beverages have gained in popularity. Due to its experience and quality, Brown-Forman chose Vidriera Guadalajara, Vitro’s plant in the state of Jalisco in Mexico, to manufacture the innovative bottles for Finlandia Frost.

“Brown-Forman has been our customer for many years and during this period we have gained their absolute confidence so for this new product launch we once again were given the opportunity to manufacture the 275 ml bottle for Lemon Finlandia Frost and Cranberry Finlandia Frost” comments Edgar Romero, Western Region Marketing Manager.

“It is the customer’s exclusive crystal clear design and is based on the profile of the Finlandia Vodka bottle” he adds.

The development time, quality, delivery times and volumes needed for the product launch were the determining factors for selecting Vitro for these two delicious pre-mixed cocktails.

The exclusive glass bottle was designed especially for Finlandia Frost. The entire glass bottle alludes to glacier ice: it has frets on its shoulders and its base is in the shape of an iceberg referring to its Nordic ancestry. It also has graphic elements on its label created by Klaus Haapaniemi, a well-known Finland designer and illustrator.

The adaption of the original idea for the Finlandia Frost was the responsibility of Vitro’s Fernando Pérez, Product Designer in coordination with Enrique Soto, New Products Team Leader.

Finlandia Frost is “ready to go” to conquer the Mexican market.
