Vitro supplied value added glass for the homes that are located in the metropolitan areas of Monterrey and Guadalajara which constitute the main prizes for the “Sorteo Tec” (as its known in Spanish) number 177 to be celebrated on June 20, 2009.

“We are talking about double pane glass units Duovent Termik that have amazing thermal insulation characteristics allowing for energy savings of up to 70% in heating and cooling systems”, comments Alejandro Leal, Commercial Manager for Architectural Products of Vitro’s Flat Glass business unit.

Pavia glass was also used in the interiors for shower doors and stair railings, due to its wide range of designs, privacy and textures.

“Both products were produced and supplied by our PVA México plant and fitted perfectly to the needs of the “Sorteo Tec” that is distinguished by ultramodern designs from renowned Mexican architects”, he adds. “Both products were produced and supplied by our PVA México plant and fitted perfectly to the needs of the “Sorteo Tec” that is distinguished by ultramodern designs from renowned Mexican architects”, he adds.

Leal adds that today there is a growing culture over the use of residential glass for interiors and exteriors.

“The market is increasingly aware of the benefits that glass offers; as what we supply offers thermal, acoustical, esthetic, functional and safety characteristics that enhance comfort in the home”, he finishes.

The funds collected from the “Sorteo Tec” are added to other funds from various Monterrey Tech collection campaigns and form part of a master fund that is dedicated to excellence in education through scholarships, improving the school’s infrastructure and supporting the social programs from the institution.
