The implementation of SAP in Vitro will strengthen our relationships with clients and suppliers.

For the purpose of establishing a more efficient business model that leads to better customer service, Vitro implements “Project Genesis” that seeks to transform its business processes through the leading state of the art tool called SAP.

Each day there are more and more companies adopting this work format that truly focuses on user satisfaction for all those in the company value chain that includes Containers and Float Glass.

This project: allows for the homogeneity of processes, assures us of working with the best business practices available today, gives us better visibility of our customers and consolidates our operations”, affirms Claudio Del Valle, Chief Administrative Officer Vitro.

He adds that at the end of the day this project will: make a noticeable contribution towards strengthening Vitro’s own distribution network together with its customers, distributors and franchises; optimize the use of our installed productive capacity and working capital, shorten new product development times and maximize their life cycle.

“We always seek to maintain close communications with our customers and suppliers, so they can be confident that his new business model will allow us to operate in a more efficient manner and strengthen the business relationships between both parties”, states David González, Glass Containers President.

The business model, whose implementation has been gradual over the different business units of Vitro on a global basis, will support current and future operations for manufacturing, conversion and distribution of our glass products at optimal costs along with a normalizing of our internal control environment.
