Vitro provides a wide range Of glass products for the Construction Industry.

For the purpose of promoting the development of sustainable architecture, Vitro formed part of the International Building Show (SAIE), México 2008 that took place from May 28 to the 31st in the Bancomer Exposition Center of Santa Fe, Mexico City.

The event directed towards architects, developers and investors was organized by Grupo Carrera which has more than 25 years experience in organizing construction industry trade shows.

More than 150 companies from different sectors of the industry participated in the event that welcomed 12 thousand visitors.

“We participated in three different categories: the first together with the Association of Companies for Building Energy Savings (AEAEE) where Vitro exhibited all of the materials it offers for energy savings together with five other members of the Association”, confirms Alejandro Gebara, Float Glass Marketing Manager for the Vitro Flat Glass business unit.

In the second stand, located in the general area we showed off the different brands from the company such as PAVIA®, VITROSPAN® y STONGLASS®, among others.

“The most important stand was the third, located in a section called “The Idea Center”, as it covered more than 50 square meters with structures as high as 5 meters; in this impressive stand we placed building solutions such as floors, walls and suspended glass structures with the help of iron fittings from  KINETIC®”, he explains.

He adds that the objective of this concept, designed by ARDITTI + RDT ARQUITECTOS, was for the visitor to perceive glass as a structural element with magnificent opportunities for residential, industrial and construction projects, as well as small monument projects.

Vitro also took advantage of the event to unveil its new Architectural Design Center, an area of 145 square meters, where the company concentrates a wide array of products and applications. In addition, it gives clients and distributors innovative solutions, together with a personal touch for their architectural projects, to make them the most advanced and state of the art in the industry.

“It was of great satisfaction for us to participate in this event, as we were able to display our broad range of products and services to well recognized architectural firms, independent architects, interior designers and building installers of medium size projects”, he concludes.
