Vitro supplies 67% of the borosilicate glass pieces in the pharmaceutical market in México.

Nucitec, one of the principal pharmaceutical laboratories in México in the development and commercialization of innovative therapies for the treatment of chronic degener ative diseases, recognized Vitro as a “Distinguished Supplier”.

Adrián Romero, Head of the Pharmaceutical Marketing Area of Vitro, explains the criteria used in being awarded this important distinction.

“Our superior level of service and product quality in which we focus on the smallest detail, has consolidated our position as a strategic partner in the supply chain”, he assures us.

Since 2002 Vitro has been supplying products of the highest quality to Nucitec, a laboratory that received the National Prize for Technology in 2007.

“Currently we supply a 20 milliliter amber color dropper, used for their Zartid product, which is used in the prevention and treatment of the individual or multiple deficiencies of the A, D, and C vitamins”.

Vidriera Los Reyes, a plant located in the state of México and belonging to the Vitro Containers business unit, is responsible for manufacturing the product.

“We are convinced that glass is the ideal packaging material for the pharmaceutical sector, as it maintains the integrity of the physical and chemical properties of its contents, in addition to being a 100 per cent recyclable material”, he confirms.

Currently Vitro supplies 67% of the chalky glass used in the pharmaceutical industry in México.
