Coca- Cola Zero… in glass!
Coca-Cola Zero, a product that defies the paradigm that sugarless Coca-Cola doesn’t taste the same, now launches its new format in México: a non-returnable 8 oz glass container supplied by Vidriera Monterrey, the first glass container factory in México founded in 1909. “One of the most noteworthy and attractive aspects of this container is the use of a Heat Transfer Label (HTL) that has never been used in the Mexican market before”, comments Gerardo Gebara, Marketing Manager for Mexico’s North Zone Beverages for the Vitro Glass Containers business unit. He adds that there are several reasons why Coca-Cola de México chose Vitro to participate in this project. “One of the most important being that we are the only glass manufacturer in the country that has this type of technology for labeling”, he explains. Gebara points out that this product’s re-launch seeks to bring a new image to the product yet respect its essential characteristic: glass with the characteristic Georgia green color and the world renowned contour bottle shape. Coca-Cola Zero has been one of the most important new product launches for Coca-Cola in the last 20 years, with a market penetration in 70 countries and driving sales increases of 35% just in the past year. This new sugarless version targets the consumer loyal to the authentic Coca-Cola flavor enjoying a non-conventional attitude towards lifestyles and who watches calorie intake, and who now can enjoy his/her favorite beverage in a container that is environmentally friendly. |
