AMEE awards 43 Vitro glass containers
For the second consecutive occasion Vitro was awarded the “Stellar Export Packaging Award” that is given by the Mexican Association of Containers and Packaging Manufacturers (AMEE), that also gave awards to another 43 Vitro glass containers and bottles for the liquor, wine, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics and beverage industries in its “Stellar Container and Packaging Contest 2008”. To these awards received by Vitro, we need to add the 5 awards won this past May on behalf of the Glass Packaging Institute known as (GPI) in their yearly competition “Clear Choice Awards” that took place in the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. With respect to the bottle for Tequila Real de México, awarded the “Stellar Export Container” award and produced by Vitro’s Vidriera Guadalajara for its client Destilería Morales, S.A. de C.V., the selection committee commented that its design concept is an esthetic delicacy that ties in the delicate waist of a woman wrapped in her shawl, showing a hint of its exquisite contents. The end result is a product whose image is very clean and elegant, translating into only one word: formidable. “To win for the second consecutive year the highly sought “Stellar Export Container Award” that is awarded by AMEE reiterates Vitro’s commitment and export mindedness that helps generate more foreign exchange for the country. The 43 stellar awards that we received in this ceremony sets a new record in our history of receiving awards from AMEE and commits us, even more, to meet and surpass the needs of our clients”, commented David González, President of Vitro’s Glass Containers business unit The contest “Stellar Containers and Packaging” is a yearly event organized by AMEE to distinguish those products that show superior attributes in the categories of: creativity, innovation, variety of materials, environmental care, cost efficiencies in the containers and packaging as well as export focus. “At Vitro we have the necessary tools to offer our clients winning solutions supported by an integral focus from our departments in Market Intelligence, Marketing/Sales, Manufacturing, Vitro Global Design (VGD) and Operations, whose role has been decisive in the development of successful marketing strategies that include design and point of sale materials”, adds González. Currently the consuming public recognizes and accepts glass containers as being the best option to conserve the qualities and attributes of their contents, since flavors do not migrate and they provide greater cleanliness and hygiene. “We are proud to work with a material that is 100% recyclable that contributes to bequeathing to future generations a more transparent World, becoming a valuable tool to our clients that helps them consolidate and maintain their market leadership”, concludes.
