Vitro Receives the Distinction as a Socially Responsible Company

 

During a ceremony that took place on March 11, 2008, Vitro received from Jorge Villalobos, President of the Mexican Center for Philanthropy, A.C. (CEMEFI) the distinction of being a Socially Responsible Corporation (ESR) 2008 upon confirming that the company meets the established standards in the strategic area of corporate social responsibility.

The acknowledgements were awarded to Glass Containers, Flat Glass, Corporate Offices and Clínica Vitro. All the companies of Vitro will be able to possess the ESR Distinction for one year.

Vitro contributes to the improvement of scholastic performance

For the purpose of granting food scholarships to those students who excel at the Cuauhtémoc Xalostoc elementary school, in the state of México, the company began a program in 2003 called the “Community Scholastic Performance” initiative.
